Applications are invited for ASI international travel awards. The awards support travel to overseas conferences between July 1, 2017 and December 31 2017 and are open to postgraduate and post-doctoral applicants (with up to 6 years postdoctoral experience) who were full (not interim) members of ASI in 2016 and have renewed their 2017 membership before the end of March.
The Gordon Ada Senior Travel Awards are for members with between 6 and 14 years postdoctoral experience who have been ASI members for at least 2 years preceding their Travel Award application. The Jacques Miller Senior Travel Award is for members with greater than 14 years experience who have been ASI members for at least 5 years preceding their Travel Award application. The Ada and Miller awards are to support travel between July 2017 to June 2018.

Please note that higher degree students, honours students and research technicians are all eligible to apply for postgraduate travel awards.

ASI Gordon Ada & Jacques Miller Senior Travel Awards
To support senior/mid career members of ASI who wish to travel overseas for career related travel. The awards are not restricted to a particular type or time of travel and may be given for attendance to meetings, sabbaticals, lab visits or any other kind of immunology-related travel.
The Gordon Ada awards are intended for early career researchers, 6 to 14 years postdoctoral, while the Miller Award will be made to members exceeding 14 years post-doctoral experience. Current financial ASI members who have been full financial members for at least the 2 years for the Ada Award and 5 years for the Miller Award, preceding the submission of an application are eligible. Previous recipients of an ASI Gordon Ada or Jacques Miller Senior Travel Award or current members of the ASI executive are not eligible to apply, however, previous awards of post-grad and post-doc level travel prizes do not preclude eligibility for Ada or Miller awards.
Excellence of track record relative to opportunity, purpose of travel and career/professional benefit of the proposed travel as judged by the ASI Executive or their delegates. Executive reserves the right not make an award in any given year.
Two Ada awards per year for up to $3,000 each. One Miller award per year up to $6,000.
