The Annual Scientific Meeting is the premier event on the ASI calendar each year, and usually attracts 400+ members and visitors. In 2011, the 41st Annual Scientific Meeting will be held in Adelaide from December 11-15, and will feature many distinguished international experts. We warmly invite you to attend the meeting.

Highlights of the Annual Scientific Meetings
Each meeting is unique, but several notable events occur each year:
- The Burnet Oration. This lecture has been held each year since 1986 to commemorate the life and work of Sir F. Macfarlane Burnet, Nobel Laureate and one of the driving forces behind the development of the discipline of immunology in the Australasian region. The list of Burnet Orators reads like a Who's Who of Immunology in Australasia.
- Kevin Lafferty Memorial Debate. The Debate was first held in 2002 in memory of Prof Kevin Lafferty, a long-time member of ASI and one of its fiercest debaters.
- The Annual Dinner, incorporating the Limerick Competition & the Bursa of Fabricus Award (see page 7 of the March 2003 newsletter for a bit of Bursa history!)
