The ASI is run by councillors elected by the members in each Australian State or Territory and in New Zealand. The Executive deals with the day-to-day running of the Society. The Regional Councillors co-ordinate regional branch activities and represent the branches at council meetings. The other councillors co-ordinate various activities within ASI. Several Special Interest Groups also operate within ASI.
