Nominations are called for the following position: ASI Newsletter Editor

Please note this position is for a period of just over 3 years.

ASI-Newsletter Editor-Nomination-Form-2017 including a 200 word biography of the nominee must be returned to me (e.deenick@garvan.org.au) by Tuesday 19th of September

The Role: ASI Newsletter Editor

ASI Newsletter captures the culture and energy of the ASI and includes information for members and updates on happenings within the society, published four times a year.

ASI is calling for a new Newsletter Editor, to take up the position in September 2017. As editor, you will take charge of an influential expression of immunology and science culture in Australia and New Zealand. You will set the editorial direction of the Newsletter to reflect the enthusiasm, views, and priorities of ASI members. Through this role, you'll connect with lots of great immunologists.

Duties of the Editor include:

  • planning issues and inviting contributors
  • coordinating contributions to the Newsletter e.g. from members of council and recipients of travel awards
  • Liaising with those placing advertisements in the Newsletter
  • Writing Editorial
  • Collating content for Newsletter
  • Working with Graphic Designer to oversee layout of content

If more than one nomination is received for the position a ballot will be held. If only one nomination is received the nominee will be declared elected unopposed.
