Adelaide Immunology Retreat (AIR) 9

Location: Murray Bridge with a visit to Monarto Zoo
AIR provides a forum where PhD students, Honours students, Research Assistants can convene, present their work and network with the local Immunology community. This year we were delighted to host Prof Phil Hodgkin (Walter and Elisa Hall Institute) and Dr Lisa Ebert (Centre for Cancer Biology) as our invited speakers. Day of Immunology ‘Vaccination Café’

Location: Royal Institute of Australia
Information: On Monday the 29th of April we teamed up with the Royal Institute of Australia (RiAus) to celebrate the Day of Immunology by running a ‘Vaccination Café’. Members of the public were invited to come along to experience immunology in action and get their flu vaccine and learn about immunology while they wait.
Adelaide Immunology Retreat 8

Information (e.g.1-2 sentences if required): In 2012 the retreat was held in the Clare Valley with wine tasting at the historic Seven Hills Winery. Prof Lynn Corcoran (WEHI) was our invited national speaker and our invited ‘local’ was Dr Gabriela Minigo (Menzies School of Health Research, Darwin).
