Vaccination Cafe

Learn all about your immune system and how vaccines work at our vaccination cafe.

Victoria

Melbourne CBD

The annual Day of Immunology vaccination café was a huge success in 2016 with hundreds of people coming in to have a flu shot and cup of coffee. This year we aim to continue building upon this success by extending our opening hours, providing a more comprehensive online booking system and partnering with yet more immunisation specialist organisations.

Our partners at Vaccin8@work will be providing this year’s seasonal flu vaccine (Book here).  In addition we are proud to announce the broadening our immunisation program by hosting an afternoon baby vaccination clinic run by the city of Melbourne health service.  For eligible individuals whooping cough boosters will also be available. See Vaccine Information for further details.

This year’s event also promises to an even more immersive experience for attendees. Guest speakers will describe the science behind vaccination and their personal experiences with infectious disease. We will also be screening some fascinating biological animations and short videos on vaccination science.

So why not come down, have a free coffee and flu shot, and speak to our friendly scientists about vaccination science?

The only “double-shot” you’ll need this coming winter!
