A World Health Organisation influenza expert and celebrated ASI Member, Professor Anne Kelso has been appointed the new new Chief Executive Officer of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). ASI launched the Women’s Initiative website in December 2013. This website promotes women immunologists, provides a mentoring service and features a database of talented female immunologists. Recently, EFIS also launched their “Women in Immunology” database. Similarly to the ASI database, the EFIS goal is to help scientists, research institutions, conference organisers and journal editors to easily identify high quality female immunologists.
