Description

The 2nd Clinical Translation School on Clinical and Translational Immunology will take place from 18-20 September 2024 in a face-to-face format at Q Station in Manly, Sydney.

This meeting is intended for young scientists (advanced PhD students and postdocs) and medical doctors/clinician researchers from around the world, who are actively involved in the field of clinical and translational immunology with focus on immune-mediated disease, immunotherapy and oncology.

The goal of this meeting is to bring together clinicians and clinician researchers to discuss advanced and up-to-date allergy, asthma, autoimmunity, inflammation, tumour and chronic diseases related immunological  research with approximately 30 young basic and clinician researcher scientists in a friendly environment.

Timeline

29th May: Expressions of Interest round opened
5th Jul: Expressions of Interest round closed
19th Jul: Successful applicants notified
14th Aug: Deadline for successful applicants to register below

Participants have been selected based on the Expression of Interest round recently held in May - June 2024.

All applicants will be contacted before 19th July 2024 notifying them of their application outcome. 

After you have received your notification letter advising you of your successful application, please finalise  your registration payment before 14th August 2024 23:59:00.

Registration costs

Due to the generous support of our sponsors, we have been able to keep the registration costs to a minimum.

This fee includes:

Accommodation 

Great news! Your registration fee includes 2 nights shared-room accommodation at Q Station in Manly, Sydney.

A limited number of private rooms are available for an additional cost of $100. You can select this option on the registration form. SOLD OUT

We encourage you to attend both full-day events on 18th and 19th Sep, including both dinners, and stay both nights.

Checkout and official close will occur after breakfast on 20th Sep.

Driving to Q Station

Duration: 5 min from Manly and 30 min from Sydney CBD
Parking: Free carpark near reception, check-in at reception, then get on-board a Q Station shuttle to get
to your accommodation and the event rooms

Public Transport to Q Station

Make your way to Q Station in Manly using the Sydney Public Transport Opal Ticketing System:

Option 1: Get an Opal card at Sydney Airport train station, Circular Quay Wharf, or online
Option 2: Contactless payment – Use a credit or debit card or linked device (in place of an Opal card) for Adult Opal fares onboard buses, or at train and ferry stations

COVID SAFE POLICY 

ℹ️ Your health and safety are our priority. This is a COVID-safe event with the following rules to adhere to:

  • All delegates and exhibitors may be asked to present a NEGATIVE Rapid Antigen Test before travelling to the conference.
  • All attendees must comply with the Safety Plan advised by public health orders to minimise the risk of transmission of COVID-19 on the premises. 
  • All attendees are encouraged to wear a mask particularly at indoor venues
  • All attendees are encouraged to contact the Organising Committees if they exhibit symptoms and consider cancelling their registration or participating remotely to minimise transmission
  • ASI will not cover expenses associated with extra accommodation or alternative transport costs due to isolation requirements should attendees test positive at the event. All attendees should be aware that the events are ‘Attend at your own risk'.  

Disclaimer of Liability

The Organising Committee will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by participants or their accompanying persons or loss of or damage to their personal property as a result of the meeting or related events. 

Should the event be cancelled due to COVID-related restrictions, the Organising Committee shall endeavour to reschedule.  All participants who have paid a registration fee may receive a full refund on the registration fee, but all participants hereby indemnify and hold the Organising Committee unaccountable for all out-of-pocket travel and quarantine -related costs, damages and expenses.

No refunds will be given for incorrect registrations, so please make your selections carefully and check that the total amount payable matches your expectations.
