Join us for the Mucosal Immunology and Microbiome Symposium 2025, set against the stunning backdrop of Noosa, Queensland.
Organised by the Mucosal Immunology Special Interest Group, this 4-day symposium will showcase the latest advancements and groundbreaking ideas in mucosal immunology. Renowned international and national experts will share their insights in a welcoming and interactive setting.
The symposium places a strong emphasis on early- and mid-career researchers, offering numerous opportunities for presentations, networking, and collaboration. This event is a must-attend for anyone passionate about mucosal immunology and microbiome research.
Abstract Submissions due January 31st 23:59 (AEDT)
We invite you to submit your work for consideration as an oral abstract or poster presentation. The best presentation will receive an award, with special recognition given to students and early-career researchers.

- Submit as a .doc / docx file before January 31st at 23:59 AEDT.

Accommodation
The symposium will be held at the luxurious 5-Star Peppers Noosa Resort & Villas, ideally located near Noosa’s vibrant restaurants, cafes, and just a short walk from the beach. Attendees can choose from one, two, or three-bedroom apartments, with shared accommodation options available at reduced rates. All conference activities will take place on-site in state-of-the-art facilities.
IMPORTANT: If you opt to share a room, please indicate who you would like to share with, or Male/Female, in the Additional Requirements field on the registration form. If you do not indicate a preference, we will allocate for you.
Transport
We’ve made getting to the symposium easy! A bus will depart from Herston at 10:00am and Brisbane Airport at 10:30am, taking you directly to Peppers Resort Noosa. The return bus will leave the resort at approximately 2:00pm on Friday, arriving at the airport around 4:30pm. Specific pick-up locations will be provided closer to the event.
Meals
Your registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon tea, and barista coffee throughout the symposium.
- Welcome Drinks and Canapés: Enjoy during the poster session on Tuesday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
- Dinner with the Experts: Small groups of delegates will dine with invited speakers at local restaurants. We aim to subsidise some of the costs, making this an affordable opportunity to connect with leaders in the field.
Covid Safe Policy
Your health and safety are our priority. This is a COVID-safe event with the following rules to adhere to:
- All delegates and exhibitors may be asked to present a NEGATIVE Rapid Antigen Test before travelling to the conference.
- All attendees must comply with the Safety Plan advised by public health orders to minimise the risk of transmission of COVID-19 on the premises.
- All attendees are encouraged to wear a mask particularly at indoor venues
- All attendees are encouraged to contact the Organising Committees if they exhibit symptoms and consider cancelling their registration or participating remotely to minimise transmission
- ASI will not cover expenses associated with extra accommodation or alternative transport costs due to isolation requirements should attendees test positive at the event. All attendees should be aware that the events are ‘Attend at your own risk'.
Disclaimer of Liability
The Organising Committee will not accept liability for damages of any nature sustained by participants or their accompanying persons or loss of or damage to their personal property as a result of the meeting or related events.
Should the event be cancelled due to COVID-related restrictions, the Organising Committee shall endeavour to reschedule. All participants who have paid a registration fee may receive a full refund on the registration fee, but all participants hereby indemnify and hold the Organising Committee unaccountable for all out-of-pocket travel and quarantine -related costs, damages and expenses.
By registering for and attending the ASI event, you are also indicating your acceptance of the ASI Event Policy.
