The 2025 ASI NZ branch meeting will take place from the 2nd – 3rd September as a satellite of the 35th Annual Queenstown Molecular Biology Meeting (QMB) in Christchurch.  Please join us for two days of scientific presentations by an excellent lineup of international and national speakers, poster sessions, and networking events to connect with your ASI colleagues.

Important Dates

Abstract submission deadline: Tuesday 1st July (please note this is the final deadline and will not be extended)
Early Bird registration deadline: Friday 18th July
Deadline for Presenting Author registration: Monday 21st July
Last day for registration discounts: Friday 1st August
Registrations close: Friday 22nd August

Discount for Early Career Members

The ASI NZ branch is offering a registration discount of 170 NZD for the ASI NZ branch meeting to all students and postdocs who have paid their 2025 ASI membership before the registration. You will find the discount option during the registration process. To renew your membership, please head to the ASI website. Please note: all discounts are only available until Friday 1st August.

Registration and Abstract Submission

To register please head to the QRW website where you will have the option to register for the ASI NZ branch meeting (block A) and the main QRW meeting (block B). 

Social Function

Join us for a social gathering with catered drinks and pizzas at the bar ‘Original Sin’, just a 5 min walk from the conference venue, on Tuesday 2nd September following the poster session. To attend, select the option ‘ASI NZ Branch Meeting Conference Dinner’ (50 NZD) during the registration.

ASI Carer’s Grants for Branch Meetings

A friendly reminder to ASI members that ASI strongly promotes equity and diversity, and we wish to support primary carers to be able to attend ASI Branch Meetings and the ASI Annual Meeting.
