Gordon Ada Senior Travel Awards
Purpose:
To support mid- senior career ASI members who wish to travel overseas for career related purposes. The awards are not restricted to a particular type or time of travel and may be given for attendance to meetings, sabbaticals, lab visits or any other kind of immunology-related travel.
Eligibility:
- 6 to 14 years postdoctoral experience
- Applicants must have paid their membership subscription before 1st April of the year of application
- Applicants must hold continually financial membership for at least 2 years prior to the year of application
- Previous recipients of an ASI Senior Travel Award or current members of the ASI Executive are not eligible to apply, however, previous recipients of Postgraduate and Postdoctoral International Travel Awards may apply.

Assessment Criteria:
- Excellence of track record relative to opportunity
- Purpose of travel and career/professional benefit of the proposed travel, as judged by the ASI Executive Committee or their delegates.
ASI Executive reserves the right not make an award in any given year.
Value:
4 Gordon Ada Senior Travel Awards are granted per year to the value of AUD 4,000 each. IN 2019 WE DOUBLED THE NUMBER OF AWARDS GRANTED
Successful Recipients - how to claim your ASI Award:
Please log in to your member profile to submit your Newsletter contribution, provide receipts to support your claim (flights and proof of attendance, e.g. scanned copy of name badge), and to initiate the reimbursement process.
Jacques Miller Senior Travel Award
Purpose:
To support mid- senior career ASI members who wish to travel overseas for career related purposes. The award is not restricted to a particular type or time of travel and may be given for attendance to meetings, sabbaticals, lab visits or any other kind of immunology-related travel. It may also be used to cover childcare-related costs.
Eligibility:
- Greater than 14 years postdoctoral experience
- Applicants must have paid their membership subscription before 1st April of the year of application
- Applicants must hold continually financial membership for at least 5 years prior to the year of application
- Previous recipients of an ASI Senior Travel Award or current members of the ASI Executive are not eligible to apply, however, previous recipients of Postgraduate and Postdoctoral International Travel Awards may apply.
