As part of the Day of Immunology Victoria 2023, organised by the Australia and New Zealand Society for Immunology (ASI), RMIT University is opening its doors to the public and our students to tour the research and teaching facilities at our Bundoora West campus.

Hear from expert scientists in the fields of infection (including HIV and COVID-19), cancer, lung disease, brain disorders and development and more. Also hear from current PhD students and academic staff regarding career opportunities and pathways in immunology.

This is an inclusive and FREE event!

Organisers:

The School of Health and Biomedical Sciences and the Biomedical and Health Innovation Platform at RMIT University are kindly supporting this event on the Bundoora West Campus.

The School of Health and Biomedical Sciences focuses on teaching and research that is underpinned by an evidence based approach and a commitment to translating fundamental science into better health outcomes.

An interdisciplinary approach, strong links with industry and government, and purpose-built facilities empower us to meet the changing demands for global health solutions.

Our programs provide accredited pathways to professional careers or postgraduate research, and produce health practitioners with skills that are valued in Australia and around the world.

Many of our programs feature Work Integrated Learning as an intrinsic part of their teaching, either in partner industries or through the University’s state-of-the-art student led clinical facility located at Bundoora's University Hill.

Specialisations include biomedical sciences, nursing, pharmacy, chiropractic, osteopathy, Chinese medicine, medical radiation and psychology.

The Biomedical and Health Innovation Platform at RMIT brings together hundreds of highly respected, cross-disciplinary experts who are passionately committed to addressing innovatively the rising health challenges in our society.

The burden of chronic inflammatory diseases and cancer is escalating across the globe, while endemic and emerging infectious diseases are overwhelming health systems in under-resourced countries. More effective drugs, vaccines, health monitoring and community-level intervention programs are needed to safeguard human lives and community wellbeing.
