Accommodation
The symposium is held at the 5-Star Peppers Noosa Resort & Villas, which is in a central location in Noosa, close to restaurants, cafes and a short walk to the beach. One- and two bedroom apartments, with twin beds, are available at a reduced cost for registrants. State-of-the-art conference facilities are on site and all conference activities are hosted at the resort.

IMPORTANT: Your registration does not include accommodation but we have an allocation of rooms available at the resort. The rooms all have twin (single) beds so you will be able to share with your colleagues. Please confirm who you will be sharing with and only one person per apartment will be required to book and pay for the accommodation as part of the registration process.

If you do not have a roommate, that is no problem at all as we can place you with one. See below for further information including accommodation rates.

Accommodation Options

🚩ACCOMMODATION ALLOCATION NOW EXHAUSTED. PLEASE CONTACT PEPPERS DIRECT TO BOOK OR SECURE AVAILABLE ACCOMMODATION NEARBY

Accommodation is not included in your registration; we had an allocation of rooms that were available to book for the 2 nights, however this allocation has now been exhausted.

Booking additional nights at Peppers Noosa Resort & Villas
If you would like to extend your stay at Peppers, please contact the resort direct on 07 5455 2200 or you can email [email protected].

NOTE: when confirming additional nights, if you would like to be in the same room for the duration of your stay, you will need to advise Peppers of the room type you have booked when registering (1 or 2 Bedroom) and how many people/the names of who you will be sharing with.

Dinner with the Expert

Instead of the typical conference dinner, we are organising ‘dinner with the expert’ on the Thursday evening. We anticipate that there will be up to 8 separate groups going out for dinner in Noosa or nearby Noosa Fair.

Each group will likely have two Conference Speakers, and you will be invited to join them at a designated restaurant. Tables will be a mix of senior, ECMR and student attendees, and it will be an informal event, with the emphasis on meeting new people, discussing science (perhaps), and having fun.

After the dinner, people will gather back at the Peppers bar for a nightcap. We will include you in one of the groups and advise you of the details nearer the time. If you wish to opt out, no problem, but please let Valerie know ([email protected]). If we secure sufficient funding (and we are optimistic), we hope to be able to subsidise the costs for all ECMRs and students.

Transport to Peppers Noosa Resort

If you would like to take advantage of a FREE bus to Noosa from Herston OR the airport on May 17th, please add this to your registration. Pick up from Herston will be at 10:00am and from the Airport at 10:30am. The return bus will depart at 14:00pm on May 19th, and will arrive at Brisbane airport at approximately 16:15pm, and Herston at 16:45pm.
