IUIS Special Travel Awards funded by ASI

Application Round: March 1st - 31st, 2023

ASI are excited to announce we are funding Special Travel Awards to attend IUIS 2023 on Nov 27th - Dec 2nd 2023, Cape Town.
Applicants will need to submit their abstracts to the IUIS 2023 website by clicking here, prior to applying for the IUIS Special Travel Awards funded by ASI.

Purpose:

To support early - mid career members of ASI who wish to attend IUIS 2023.

Eligibility:

Higher Degrees students, Honours students, Research Technicians and Postdoctoral investigators with up to 6 years post-doctoral research experience, are eligible to apply. Some career disruptions (such as maternity leave) may be taken into account. Please provide details if you feel that you are eligible to apply.
Applicants must have been full (not interim) Ordinary or Student members of ASI in the year preceding the application.
Applicants must have paid their membership subscription before 1st April of the year of application. 

Application Procedure:

Assessment Criteria:

• Scientific excellence and clarity of abstract
• C.V. and publication record
• Recommendation of supervisor

The committee reserves the right not to make an award.

Value:

There will be 4 special travel awards granted, each with the value of AUD 2000.
