What is ‘I Am An Immunologist’?
If you haven’t already seen some of our posts, ‘I Am An Immunologist’ is an ongoing promotional campaign created by Gabriela Khoury to help the public become more familiar with what an immunologist does.
The ASI showcases different members by introducing them and what they study on Twitter and Facebook. Often featured members participate in ‘A Day in the Life of an Immunologist’ where they share their daily antics as an immunologist on Twitter.
How can I participate?
During National Science Week (10 – 18th August) we are encouraging ASI members to tell the world ‘I Am An Immunologist’. You can do this by simply making a post on social media at any time during the week.
Please include the following information in your post:
- A photo of the activity you are doing.
NB. This could include a photo of you doing lab work, at meetings, presentations, teaching, your experiment results etc. Feel free to get creative! - A brief explanation of what you are posting in language suitable to a public audience with only secondary school (Year 10) level of science.
- Handles: @ASImmunology (both facebook and twitter)
- Hashtags: #IAmAnImmunologist #ScienceWeek #SciComm
We will be continuing to introduce our ASI members to the public throughout the year. If you are interested in being featured and haven’t already completed the following EOI, please click here.
Check it out!
