The Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) is the largest child health research institute in Australia committed to making discoveries and developing treatments to improve child and adolescent health in Australia and around the world. They are pioneering new treatments, trialling better vaccines and improving ways of diagnosing and helping sick babies, children and adolescents. It is one of the only research institutes in Australia to offer genetic testing to find answers for families of children with previously undiagnosed conditions.

- Experience our researchers present their outstanding work and join us on a Discovery Tour at MCRI through our state-of-the-art immunology laboratories.
- The tour is free and runs for approximately 90 minutes.
- As tour groups visit a working laboratory, please be advised that closed toe shoes must be worn.
Getting to the Institute:
MCRI is located at 50 Flemington Rd, Parkville VIC 3052 inside the Royal Children’s Hospital. Enter at the main entrance to Royal Children’s Hospital on Flemington Road. The MCRI Reception is located on the right hand side after entering the main doors of the hospital.
Parking
Street parking (1h and 2h) available on Flemington Road and surrounding streets. Carpark entry is also available, however fees apply.
Public Transport
Trams 58 and 59 stop next to the main entrance at stop Royal Children’s Hospital/Flemington Rd.
Requirements
Please wear closed-toe shoes and a mask.

Established in 2005 by the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS), the success of Day of Immunology led to it being celebrated worldwide since 2007. Day of Immunology has been celebrated by ASI since 2009.
