Dr Ken Dutton-Regester is an active cancer researcher of 12+ years who completed his PhD at QUT/QIMRB and a postdoc at the Broad Institute of Harvard MIT. Ken is a highly recognized and awarded science communicator and keynote speaker, using a variety of communication platforms to explain complex science to diverse audiences. In 2019, Ken founded Excite Science, a creative studio using immersive products that engage hard-to-reach audiences. From cancer-themed escape rooms to virtual reality, Excite Science creates memorable experiences that seamlessly integrate into an organizations' outreach, education and fundraising efforts.
Free for ASI members, this event is hosted by ASI and the Education Special Interest Group.

We welcome all ASI Members to join our ASI Education SIG Educational Seminar
Educational Seminar: 11am to 12pm ‘Creative Approaches to Explaining Complex Science’
- Best practices and strategies for engaging audiences (inc digital delivery)
- How to adopt and apply creative mindset to explain complex science
- Use of story-telling and ‘layers’of information for memorable content
- Using gamification and interactivity to reinforce learning
Additionally, if you are a member of the ASI Education SIG you are invited to register for our Interactive Workshop, which immediately follows the Educational Seminar.
