Dear Colleagues,
I am sad to report that Professor Geoff Shellam passed away last week. Geoff was a pioneer and world leader in immunogenetics, particularly the interaction between mouse cytomegalovirus and the immune system as an illuminating example of persistent herpesvirus infections.
Geoff contributed greatly to our society. He was ASI President in 1992-1993, and recognized with Honorary Life Membership in 2012.
Those of us who were lucky enough to have interacted with Geoff will recall that he was a person of great ...

ASI launched the Women’s Initiative website in December 2013. This website promotes women immunologists, provides a mentoring service and features a database of talented female immunologists.
